The Sector Charleston Command Center is a 24/7 multi-mission command and control center for coordinating, directing,
and monitoring operations within the Sector Charleston area of responsibility. These operations directly support safety,
security and environmental stewardship throughout the Georgia and South Carolina Marine Transportation System.
Nine (09) out of the 11 Coast Guard statutory missions are actively performed by the Sector Charleston Command Center
including:
- Ports, Waterways & Coastal Security
- Drug Interdiction
- Aids to Navigation (ATON)
- Search & Rescue (SAR)
- Living Marine Resources
- Marine Safety
- Defense Readiness (National Security & Military Preparedness)
- Law Enforcement
- Maritime Environmental Protection
